Southern Korean electronics giant Samsung is Allegedly Looking for a Signature in the United Kingdom for a cryptocurrency wallet, according to a Dec. 27 filings with the U.K. Intellectual Property Office.
From the"Classes and terms" section of the application, Samsung cites such developments as"Computer applications for use in a cryptocurrency pocket; PC software such as cryptocurrencypayment and transfer utilizing blockchain technologies; Computer software software for smartphones, specifically, applications to allow users to transfer cryptocurrency based on blockchain engineering and pay via 3rd party application software."
The program follows rumors subsequently refuted from Samsung -- which the firm has plans to include a cryptocurrency chilly pocket on its Galaxy S10 smartphone. Samsung registered three European Union trademark applications for blockchain- and - cryptocurrency- related software on Dec. 10.
Previously in December,'' that major smartphone maker HTC integrated decentralized browser Brave about the HTC Exodus 1 cell phone,"the very first native blockchain telephone" together with support for many blockchains, such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) networks.
Last month, blockchain-focused electronics supplier SIRIN Labs started its initial blockchain-based smartphone named FINNEY. According to Android and SIRIN's open-source operating system, SIRIN OS, the FINNEY telephone provides a cold-storage crypto wallet and supplies encrypted communications.
Back in October, Samsung's production wing, Samsung Foundry, established a brand new production procedure for its 7-nanometer (nm) Low Power Plus (7LPP) procedure node, which could reduce its own energy consumption by up to 50 percent. The processor could purportedly have positive implications for crypto miners usings Samsung's hardware, so as energy prices prove to be a crucial factor in the business's profitability.
